Safety Couplings — Torque Limiters

A mechanical fuse for your drivetrain — disengages in milliseconds at a preset torque.

When a machine jams, all the motor’s force has nowhere to go — and the most expensive part in the drivetrain breaks. A JAKOB safety coupling disengages within milliseconds once torque exceeds its factory-set trip point, the machine stops, and after clearing the jam it resets in seconds. No tools, no damage.

The ball-detent principle gives precise, repeatable and wear-resistant tripping across ranges from 0.1 to 100,000 Nm, at operating temperatures from −30 °C to +200 °C. Trip torque is factory-set within each size’s range (for example SKB 30: 13–30 Nm). Supplied in Southeast Asia by ISA Technology.
